The Submerged Monolith

The Submerged Monolith

| 1-of-1 Natural Mountain-Form Sinking Malaysia Oud Wood 206g
$8,500.00

"True weight is felt in silence."

Deep within the Malaysian rainforest, this specimen spent decades in a state of organic alchemy. It is not an object that was made; it is a legacy that was found. At 206 grams, its density is a physical manifestation of a tree’s resilience. At MYSOUL WOODS, we curate nature’s rawest masterpieces. This "Mountain-Form" silhouette is a bridge between the chaotic energy of the jungle and the profound stillness of a collector’s sanctuary.

The Unyielding Core of West Malaysia

Born from the Aquilaria Malaccensis species, this piece survived the humid, competitive ecosystem of the wild. Over time, its heartwood was replaced by a rich, dark resin, transforming it from a living organism into a dense, mineral-like artifact. We have preserved its "Mountain" topography—a symbol of stability and strength—ensuring that the soul of the forest remains intact within its fibers.

The Honest Flourish

  • ✅ Advantage: Active Room Presence & Olfactory Power Unlike many agarwood specimens that remain dormant until heated, this 206g monolith possesses a rare "living" scent. In a confined room, it exhales a steady, ethereal fragrance. As you approach, the aroma intensifies into a rich, balsamic sweetness with notes of cool forest rain.

  • ✅ Advantage: Explosive Potency Upon Heating (The Burn Experience) The true soul of this piece is revealed under fire. When a sliver is introduced to heat, the scent profile transforms into an overwhelming, majestic symphony. Because of the immense resin density, the aroma is exceptionally concentrated and potent, capable of piercing through large spaces with a deep, honeyed, and spicy Malaysian signature.

  • ❌ The Honest Flaw: The "White Slope" (Unrefined Verso) The back of the "mountain" features a layer of natural white wood fibers. We have consciously chosen not to scrape this away to preserve the original weight and organic topography. To the untrained eye, this may look "unpolished," but to the connoisseur, it is the fingerprint of 100% wild authenticity.

Sensory & Lifestyle Integration

An Anchor for Contemplation.

Imagine this Monolith on your desk. Upon entering the room, you are greeted by its faint, cool sweetness. But when the occasion calls for it—during a deep meditation or a gathering of kin—the act of heating a small fragment will fill the atmosphere with an undeniable, regal fragrance that lingers for hours. It is both a silent companion and a powerful sensory experience.

The Anti-Pitch: Is this for you?

  • Not for the "Perfectionist": If you seek a pitch-black, glass-smooth surface, this is not your piece. This is raw, wild, and rugged. The white wood fibers are part of its survival story.

  • Not for the "Casual Hobbyist": A 206g sinking specimen is a serious investment. This is an heirloom-quality artifact for those who understand the rarity of a "Sinking King."

  • Warning on Potency: When burning, start with a very small fragment. The resin content is so high that the aroma may be too intense for those unaccustomed to pure, wild Malaysian Oud.

CULTURAL STEWARDSHIP

Rooted in Malaysian heritage. We combine traditional selection techniques with modern transparency to bring the rare liquid gold of our rainforests to the international market.

SUPPLY FRAGILITY

Aquilaria Malaccensis is a vanishing resource. We prioritize transparency over steady inventory; when the high-quality harvest runs dry, our store stays empty until the next genuine find.

What is the return policy?
Since we sell 1-of-1 (one-of-a-kind) natural agarwood and every product is documented with strictly honest photography, we do not accept returns based on personal preference. Returns are only considered if the item is significantly different from the description or damaged during transit, provided an unboxing video is submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
How much are the shipping and customs duties?
All transactions are processed in USD. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight; however, please be aware that international customs duties are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Furthermore, as agarwood is a regulated species, your package may be subject to customs inspections, which is an unpredictable time cost we cannot control.
Can I purchase two identical agarwood pieces?
No. This is the "shortcoming" of natural agarwood: nature does not produce replicas. Every piece is a unique individual entity. We strictly forbid any deceptive displays and will never provide "identical" items just to increase sales.
When will I get my order?
Order processing typically takes 3-5 business days. International shipping times vary by region. Because we insist on legal compliance and obtaining necessary permits (such as CITES), the shipping cycle may be extended. If you require "next-day delivery," the cross-border trade of natural agarwood may not meet your speed expectations.
Is your wood "Wild-harvested"?
Here is our most honest answer: unless we can trace the source origin with 100% certainty, we will never use the "Wild-harvested" label. We value the integrity of our information more than attractive marketing jargon.
