The Plume of Silence

The Plume of Silence

| 1-of-1 Natural Wing-Form Malaysia Oud Wood 107.8g
$3,600.00

"A scar that learned to fly."

In the dense humidity of the Malaysian rainforest, a tree fought for survival. It bled resin to heal its wounds, and over decades, the jungle’s elements—wind, rain, and time—sculpted those scars into the silhouette of a rising wing.

At MYSOUL WOODS, we didn't create this. We simply recognized it. The Plume of Silence is a 107.8g testament to the beauty of resilience—a physical bridge between the weight of the earth and the lightness of a bird’s feather.

Respecting the Boundary of Nature.

When you look at its surface, you see a unique "fibrous" texture—an organic fuzziness that mimics the downy underside of a wing. This is the raw soul of the Aquilaria tree.

We have intentionally stopped our refining tools at the very edge of the resin veins. To scrape further would be to increase the "purity" but destroy the "spirit." We chose to preserve its natural, mountain-like ridges and feathered edges, maintaining a raw, tactile honesty that mass-produced "polished" pieces lack.

The Honest Sensory

  • Visual: A complex landscape of dark resin "freckles" set against sun-bleached wild wood. Under warm light, the contrast reveals the intricate "Aves" grain, resembling a wing ready for takeoff.

  • Tactile: Despite its "fuzzy" appearance, the surface is surprisingly firm and grounding. It carries the dry, organic warmth of the forest floor.

  • Olfactory (The Truth): This is an Introverted Fragrance. At room temperature, it offers a faint, clean woody scent—honest and unpretentious. It does not boast. However, when a sliver is placed on a mica plate over gentle heat, it exhales a profound Malaysian profile: notes of dark wildflower honey, damp earth, and a lingering sweetness that stays in the back of the throat.

Is this piece for you?

  • NOT for the "Sinking" Hunter: If your only metric for quality is whether wood sinks in water, please look elsewhere. This is a "fibrous" specimen; it is light, airy, and expansive. Its value lies in its Aesthetic Rarity and its 100g+ volume.

  • NOT for those seeking "Pitch Black" wood: This piece is a "Shell/Skin" grade. It shows the transition from wood to resin—the "freckles" and veins. If you want a solid black block of oil, this will disappoint you.

  • NOT for the "Instant Aroma" seeker: Do not expect this to scent your entire room while sitting on a shelf. This is a meditative artifact. It requires your time, your focus, and a gentle heat source to reveal its secret heart.

CULTURAL STEWARDSHIP

Rooted in Malaysian heritage. We combine traditional selection techniques with modern transparency to bring the rare liquid gold of our rainforests to the international market.

SUPPLY FRAGILITY

Aquilaria Malaccensis is a vanishing resource. We prioritize transparency over steady inventory; when the high-quality harvest runs dry, our store stays empty until the next genuine find.

What is the return policy?
Since we sell 1-of-1 (one-of-a-kind) natural agarwood and every product is documented with strictly honest photography, we do not accept returns based on personal preference. Returns are only considered if the item is significantly different from the description or damaged during transit, provided an unboxing video is submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
How much are the shipping and customs duties?
All transactions are processed in USD. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight; however, please be aware that international customs duties are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Furthermore, as agarwood is a regulated species, your package may be subject to customs inspections, which is an unpredictable time cost we cannot control.
Can I purchase two identical agarwood pieces?
No. This is the "shortcoming" of natural agarwood: nature does not produce replicas. Every piece is a unique individual entity. We strictly forbid any deceptive displays and will never provide "identical" items just to increase sales.
When will I get my order?
Order processing typically takes 3-5 business days. International shipping times vary by region. Because we insist on legal compliance and obtaining necessary permits (such as CITES), the shipping cycle may be extended. If you require "next-day delivery," the cross-border trade of natural agarwood may not meet your speed expectations.
Is your wood "Wild-harvested"?
Here is our most honest answer: unless we can trace the source origin with 100% certainty, we will never use the "Wild-harvested" label. We value the integrity of our information more than attractive marketing jargon.
