The Raw Fragment

The Raw Fragment

| Natural Malaysia Oud Wood 52.7g (Standard Grade)
$250.00

"The Beauty of the Unfinished."

Not every piece of agarwood is destined to be a "sinking" relic or a polished masterpiece. This 52.7g specimen is a raw, honest chapter of the Malaysian rainforest. It represents the "Standard"—a bridge between the wild jungle and your private sanctuary. It is not for the collector seeking status; it is for the soul seeking truth.

Nature in its Simplest Form.

Harvested from the deep jungles of Malaysia, this piece carries the untamed spirit of its origin. At MYSOUL WOODS, we believe that luxury isn't always about perfection; it is about authenticity. This wood has been left in its organic, random shape, capturing a moment in time where the resin was still "learning" the grain of the tree.

Hand-Burnished for Tactile Intimacy.

While the form is 100% natural, the raw edges of agarwood can be harsh and splintered. To ensure a connection between the wood and your hand, we have delicately hand-burnished the surface. This process removes the sharp fibers and burrs, making the wood silken to the touch without using oils, waxes, or artificial polishes. It is now safe to be held during contemplation.

True Luxury requires no lies.

  • The Silhouette: It cannot stand upright. No matter the angle, it will not balance as a vertical display. It is a "reclining" piece, meant to lay flat on a silk bed or within an incense tray.

  • The Resin Density: This is a Standard Grade material. The resin veins are visible and authentic but have not yet fully saturated the wood fibers. It is a fibrous specimen, meaning it does not sink in water.

Sensory Experience

  • The Touch: Smooth and warm. The hand-polishing has turned a rough forest fragment into a tactile artifact.

  • The Olfactory (The Truth): At room temperature, this wood is introverted. It does not perfume a room on its own. Its soul is only released through heat. When sliced and placed on a gentle electric burner or charcoal, it exhales a clean, woody sweetness with the signature medicinal notes of authentic Malaysian Oud.

We want you to be certain before you acquire this.

  • If you seek a "Status Symbol": This is not it. It looks like a simple piece of wood to the untrained eye.

  • If you expect a room-filling scent without a burner: You will be disappointed. This wood requires the ritual of heating to speak.

Technical Transparency

What is the return policy?
Since we sell 1-of-1 (one-of-a-kind) natural agarwood and every product is documented with strictly honest photography, we do not accept returns based on personal preference. Returns are only considered if the item is significantly different from the description or damaged during transit, provided an unboxing video is submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
How much are the shipping and customs duties?
All transactions are processed in USD. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight; however, please be aware that international customs duties are the sole responsibility of the buyer. Furthermore, as agarwood is a regulated species, your package may be subject to customs inspections, which is an unpredictable time cost we cannot control.
Can I purchase two identical agarwood pieces?
No. This is the "shortcoming" of natural agarwood: nature does not produce replicas. Every piece is a unique individual entity. We strictly forbid any deceptive displays and will never provide "identical" items just to increase sales.
When will I get my order?
Order processing typically takes 3-5 business days. International shipping times vary by region. Because we insist on legal compliance and obtaining necessary permits (such as CITES), the shipping cycle may be extended. If you require "next-day delivery," the cross-border trade of natural agarwood may not meet your speed expectations.
Is your wood "Wild-harvested"?
Here is our most honest answer: unless we can trace the source origin with 100% certainty, we will never use the "Wild-harvested" label. We value the integrity of our information more than attractive marketing jargon.
